Island Ciovo

The island Ciovo is an island situated in middle Dalmatia, the total surface of the island is 28,8 km2. With the town Trogir is connected by drawbridge. There are several villages: Slatine, Okrug Donji (Lower,) Okrug Gornji (Upper), Mastrinka, Slatine and Žedno. The island Ciovo is about 2 km away from the mainland on the east (cape Marjan); on the north-west, it is connected with mainland by drawbridge (in Trogir).

The island was inhabited already in prehistory and old Romans used to call it Boa. During XV. and XVI. century the surrounding population came to the island, running away from the Turks.

The Church of Our Lady of Prizidnica, with hermit facilities from 1546, situated among cliffs, lies on the southeast side of the island.

Slatine

Slatine are located on the north-eastern side of Ciovo, only 8 km away from Trogir. In this colourful fisherman village you can find various types of beaches; from gravely ones suitable for children to rocky and concrete ones located in smaller coves. The natural pebble beach "Kava" in Slatine on the cap is the most beautiful and popular beach on the island.

Mastrinka

Mastrinka is a village on the northern part of Ciovo, only 2 km away from Trogir. If you prefer a more quiet vacation than this is an ideal place for you. The gravely beaches with their crystal clear sea away from the crowds and city tumult will give your body and mind plenty of rest.

Arbanija

Arbanija is a small tourist settlement on the northern side of the Ciovo island. The settlement started evolving in the 15th century when a Dominican monastery of St. Cross (Samostan Sv. Kriza) was built. If you are wishing for a quiet family vacation, you can find accommodation in apartments and rooms in the vicinity of the sea and the waterfront. Also, there are a few bars and restaurants at your disposal as well as sport and recreation opportunities.

Okrug Gornji

Okrug Gornji is one of the most popular tourist destination on the island Ciovo and Trogir Riviera. Located on the western side of Ciovo Island it is mostly known for beautiful gravely beaches suitable for children. Main beach "Copacabana" (2km long pebble beach) offers lots of activities like scuba water skiing, diving school, Jet Ski rental... Over the day, the main beach looks like a huge party because in every beach bar on it lots of people dance to the modern music and drink cocktails. If you want to visit the town Trogir, you can use the boat line (every 30 minuts).

Okrug Donji

Okrug Donji is a tourist village located on the western side of the island of Ciovo, 3 km away from Okrug Gornji and 8 km from Trogir. Characteristic for its clear clean sea, beautiful gravely beaches.
