Slatine is a small fisherman village with 1100 inhabitants, situated on the north side of the island of Ciovo. Administratively in the city of Split.
Located on the shores of Bay of Kastela, Split and opposite Marjan peninsula located to the east of them. Northwest of Slatine is Arbanija.
Further to the southeast is the Ciovo Kava.
Slatine is located 8 km from Trogir and 35 km overland through the city of Split. Over the summer Slatine is connected by ferry lines Split-Slatina with a 30 minutes enjoyable boat ride.
You can enjoy a beautiful view of the Bay of Kastela, Split, and Marjan hill.
Healthy ecologically grown vegetables, virgin olive oil, local wine, dried figs, bajami, fresh fish, caught by Slatine fisherman, is everyday life of this little place. Pine forests make natural shade over small bays that are ideal for families with small children.
Only 2 km from Slatine, on the southern side of the island, right on the hill edge, the church of Prizidinice is situated, a widely known sanctuary where hermits lived during the Middle Ages.
Church of Our Lady of Prizidnice is the place of pilgrimage for domestic and foreign believers.
